Through the Office of Financial Services, FTC Northern awards the following types of institutional financial aid to qualified students. Unless otherwise noted, all amounts given are on an annual basis, for a student enrolled in full-time study.
Scholarships
First-Time Freshman
The academic scholarship for domestic first-time freshman is awarded on a competitive basis to incoming students who demonstrate a record of excellence in their academic performance. Assessment criteria of the student include their high school GPA, and SAT/ACT scores if provided. Students who meet the following criteria will be awarded academic scholarships as listed.

Transfer Students
The academic scholarship for domestic transfer students is awarded to incoming transfer students who demonstrate a record of excellence in their academic performance. Assessment criteria of the student include their cumulate GPA at the time of transfer.

Current Students
Current students who wish to renew any scholarships and/or financial aid must submit an application before the new academic year.
To be eligible, current students must meet the GPA requirements below. Additionally, students who have any academic or conduct-related disciplinary infractions may become ineligible for part or the whole of any scholarship and/or financial aid awards.

Graduate Scholarships
The academic scholarships for in-person graduate students is awarded on a competitive basis to students who demonstrate a record of excellence in their academic performance.

Need-Based Aid
The College also provides institutional support for students who demonstrate financial hardship. The need-based aid is applied towards tuition and is awarded on a competitive basis. The aid amount if determined by the level of demonstrated financial need and he availability of funds. The table below provides a guide for the award available depending on your financial circumstances. If a family’s income and assets fall into different tiers, we would generally use the higher need tier if the difference is just one level.

There may be other sources of institutional grants and financial aid based on funding availability. These include limited work-study options for qualified and eligible students.
