Program Purpose
The Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics program aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to understand how to use data to identify insights, make long-term predictions, and develop strategies to improve business outcomes.
Educational Objectives
The Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics program aims to:
- Prepare students’ abilities to understand business concepts, terms, and theories, and prepare students in becoming proficient in the use of computer languages, databases, and other applications of information technology.
- Develop students’ understanding of business problems, and their analytical skills used in business decisions.
- Develop students’ critical thinking techniques and communication skills necessary to meet the needs of business organizations.
- Prepare students for a professional work environment as a business analyst, with the emphasis of the importance of ethical standards in decision making.
Faculty
Admissions Criteria
- Applicants entering as freshmen should have one taken advanced math or computer science courses in high school.
- Transfer students should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3.
Graduation Requirement
- The academic requirements for graduation from the BFA in Arts Management program are the successful completion of the curriculum with a grade point average of no less than 2.0.
- In addition, a graduate must have taken at least 50% of all courses from FTC Northern.
